"My sister still has nightmares about relaxing in a steamy bath and hearing these words coming from a six-year-old on the other side of the bathroom door. You guessed it! She has a son.
I read this book two years ago and reread it this morning. I swear it's even funnier than I remember. Anyone who thinks raising boys and girls is the same job doesn't know much. My mother had three daughters and thought she had the parenting thing down pat. Then she had two sons (very close in age) who quickly transformed our house into a zoo. If you have a son or sons, you'll find plenty in here that will bring back fond (and maybe not-so-fond) memories. And If you have only daughters, here's your chance to see what you missed.
I love the delightful new cover picture and I love this book."

- This may not be the best parenting book you’ll ever read.
It may not even be the most useful parenting book you’ll read.
But starting with the cover it had me intrigued. By the end of chapter one I was hooked.
Great, relatable and extremely entertaining story telling makes this book a great reminder of what parenting is all about and a great support for those days when you start thinking you’re the worst parent in the world.
The profound thoughts will stick with you too. - My sister still has nightmares about relaxing in a steamy bath and hearing these words coming from a six-year-old on the other side of the bathroom door. You guessed it! She has a son.

I love the delightful new cover picture and I love this book. - This is not actually a parenting book, more a humorous memoir of one's parenting of two boys. It is published by the Christian publisher, Zondervan and although each chapter ends with scripture and there is mention of God, Jesus, etc., it is not overly Christian. I found myself chuckling to much of the book; had I not been in public while reading much of the book, I would have laughed aloud. It is a short easy read that I picked up for free several years ago. I hope Dave Meurer writes more books like this one.
- Dave Meurer writes a great, entertaining book about the joys of having boys. This book is quite a fun read and I really enjoyed it. Small quick chapter's helps you fly through the book, and the stories are simply hilarious. I really enjoyed each chapter. I also really liked that Meurer also includes bible versus to prove his points, or to simply remind him and the reader that Christ is in control.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has had, or is having sons. - Seemed like a super cute book. Was not a fan that when it arrived it was all about Jesus and god and that pretty much it. Now I have nothing against that But I think that maybe they should have let people know or put it in the description so you can decided before you purchase the book thought.
- I picked this up because I have a friend with 2 young boys and she often tell funny stories about their antics and I wanted to see how they compared. Well, I laughed so hard that halfway through the book I called her and told her she needed to read it. I laughed until I cried!
- As a mom of 2 boys, this book made me laugh and had good little reminders for me.
- My husband and I discovered a Dave Meuer book while on vacation several years ago. We enjoyed his Daze of our Wives book. So we were prepared to enjoy this one as well. We were not disappointed. We read it in the car during a long trip. It certainly kept us awake and laughing! We heartily recommend it.
