Small size and readable. Fairly low cost and therefore distributable. The discussion about the Shroud did seem a bit unnecessary to me but it is a good book. You can download similar but smaller materials from the internet; but, this book and its electronic copyrighted form are still the best ways to ensure authorized good answers. Good even before you may find yourself asking the questions and better if you have already asked the questions or even if you have found yourself troubled by the questions. A good introduction on which to build a defence of the faith (as if it needed defending). Just do not try to win the argument and lose the person."

- This is an excellent book for apologetics students and skeptics alike. The author takes common objections and questions and provides Biblical answers. It is not an exhaustive theology book, nor is it meant to be. The answers are fairly simple and straightforward do to be understandable by someone without a Christian background. At the end of the book is a gospel explanation and brief sinners prayer.
My 97 year old father-in-law, who was hard hearted toward the message of repentance and redemption through Christ, read this book all the way through, then called us to say he had found a prayer in it that expressed exactly how he felt and he had prayed to God with it. It was the sinner's prayer, and he went on to live his final 3 years growing in the grace and love of Jesus.
That's the power of the Holy Spirit using this book!! - Josh McDowell does indeed answer a lot of tough questions concerning the Christian faith. I may not agree entirely with all his answers (I've yet to explore some of the questions)., but so far as I can determine, they are answers based on in depth study
of the Bible and an understanding of the scriptures. I have bought several as gifts for friends of mine. Thank you. Faye - I highly recommend this book. - For the seasoned Christians and those who are skeptical and THOSE who have THOSE questions may leave you scratching your head for an answer or the answer. This book is Scripturally sound and answers THOSE questions in a very understandable and discernible way. It's been a handbook for me over the years and a great gift for friends, family and yes, those skeptics.
- This book written by Josh McDowell, a christian believer, answers many questions that none believers ask, or even believers. The answers are very comprehensive and honest. Leaving the reader more informed, able to work through in their own mind the truth of the answers. I believe a book that should always be recommended to all who ask such questions.Suitable for church groups, young people, people who want to reach their unbelieving family members and friends. Josh Mcdowell himself asked these questions before and after his conversion I understand.
